About this course

The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is the designed for site supervisors and foremen who work in the construction sector. The 2-day SSSTS course ensures that site supervisors understand their legal responsibilities for implementing rigorous health and safety measures on site and carrying out risk assessment and method briefings.

Who this course is for

The SSSTS course is intended for delegates who have or are acquiring supervisory responsibilities and provides them with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues and their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities.

It is important that all delegates who attend this course have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Delivery

This interactive course is delivered through classroom based tutorials which include case studies and group discussions and presentations.

Certification

CITB Accreditation valid for 5 years.

Assessment

This course is delivered using classroom-based tutorials incorporating group discussions, case studies and individual/group presentations. At the end of the course delegates will assessed by a multiple-choice test.

All candidates will receive copies of the official CITB course books:

  • GE706 site supervision simplified
  • GT700 toolbox talks book.

All candidates will also view ‘Shattered Lives’; a short documentary showing the impact of poor management of health and safety.
